With the approaching blizzard, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a State of Emergency for New York City, and NYC Mayor Zohran Mandami has issued a travel ban for all vehicles on NYC streets, bridges and highways from 9pm Sunday (2/22) to noon Monday (2/23). Heavy snow overnight on Sunday is expected to result in accumulations of 12-15” or more. Wind gusts of 60 mph could cause whiteout conditions on the road, especially for NYC and Long Island.
