Chocolate Chips launched today, April 1st. Marketing is all about catching people’s attention, encouraging engagement with brands even if a product isn’t what it seems. What examples of companies creating April Fools adverts/pranks now and over the years can you find? Post below!

Follow @WHS_Creative as they showcase just some of our pupils’ amazing work. There are more than 15,000 creative businesses in Scotland. Many are small or independent businesses, run by talented entrepreneurs with a unique focus. All require strong business skills.

This April 1st advert once fooled Mr Smith. Mars announced left-handed Mars Bars, with the chocolate running the opposite way. An R or L would appear above the wrapper’s logo. Despite searching all bars had a R: it means Registered Trademark. Mars Bar still bought, marketing won.
