Celtic have just won the league thanks to a 95th minute penalty, given by VAR for handball when there is no conclusive proof it touched his hand The ball movement is conclusive of being headed not punched with hand. Heart break for hearts but it’s a stain on football

‘Her experience, vision and understanding of fans and partners will be key as we continue to grow, evolve…’ Good luck……..
West Ham Football@westhamfootball

Tara Warren has been appointed chief executive of Freemans Events Partners.   She joins the live event operator from West Ham United, where she was based for 16 years, most recently as executive director. During her tenure, she delivered substantial revenue growth and supported the club’s transition to the London Stadium.   She currently serves as non-executive director at the British Horseracing Authority and sits on the newly-formed Independent Football Regulator.   Warren also contributed to the Premier League and Women’s Super League leadership groups.   Her appointment comes as Freemans Event Partners seeks to double turnover over the next five years.   Warren said: “I am incredibly excited to join Freemans Event Partners at such an important moment in its journey.    “There is a huge opportunity to build on its strong 50 year legacy as the trusted partner of some of the world’s most iconic venues and events including Silverstone, Lord’s, Wembley Stadium, the Olympics and Ryder Cup, and to continue to deepen and grow the relationships with our global partners from World Rugby to Coca-Cola among many other prestigious brands.”    Stephen Freeman, executive chairman of Freemans Event Partners, added: “Last year marked 50 years of Freemans Event Partners, a proud milestone and a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come.    “Now, our focus is firmly on what’s next. We’re in a golden era for live events, where audiences expect more than ever, and that creates a real opportunity for us to step forward and deliver. We have a clear ambition to double the size of the business within five years, and Tara is exactly the leader we need to help us do that. Her experience, vision and understanding of fans and partners will be key as we continue to grow, evolve and make the most of the opportunities ahead.”    Freemans Events Partners is a family-owned events company serving 10 million meals across more than 1,300 event days each year.

EFL clubs agree changes to financial control rules. Championship: Squad Cost Rules system limits club spending on “player and manager-related costs (including transfer fees) to a set percentage of their income, alongside a limited level of owner funding. From 2026/27 the SCR allowance for clubs will be set at 85% of income, with a flexible equity top-up allowance of £33m over a three-year period”. Allows for “real-time monitoring…rather than reviewing ‘after the event’.” League One: percentage of turnover that clubs can spend on wages reduced from 60% to 50% (inc manager costs). League Two: no change agreed.
