Whitman Hanson baseball (6-2) beat New Bedford 7-0 in a non league contest. Whitman Hanson pitcher Tom Crowley threw a no hitter, the first in the Henriksen era. Crowley struck out 14 batters in his masterful performance.  The offense scored 7 runs on hits. One each from Allen, Pruitt, Breheny, Curreri, and George. The key hit in the game came from Caine Allen’s two out, two RBI single in the second inning to spark the rally.  The Panthers host North Quincy on Monday.

It was also a very nice senior night

Whitman Hanson baseball (8-4) beat Silver Lake 5-4 on a late inning rally on in the sixth inning. Down 4-1 Cam Beltramini hit a double to drive in Johnny Walker. Beltramini’s double was followed by a two RBI double from Ryan Baker to tie the game. With the game tied, Dan Joyce drove in the game winner with a double off his own. David McNaught threw a complete game, striking out 7 batters for the win.

Whitman Hanson (2-1) baseball beat Duxbury 7-2 in the league opener. Ryan Baker threw 6 innings giving up one earned run and striking out 8 for the win. The offense was led by Cam Beltramini who went 3-4 with a 3 run home run. Jacob Getchell had a pair of hits in the win.

Whitman Hanson (16-4) wins the Patriot League Championship by defeating Plymouth North 4-2 on Thursday. Ryan Baker was outstanding throwing 5 innings giving up just 3 hits and striking out 5. Offensively Ryan Caroll led the offense with a 3-4 game. Zach Casey had a key RBI triple in the win. Dylan Bausemer got the save with two scoreless innings in the win. Cam Beltramini had a terrific defensive game, throwing out a runner at third with the game on the line.

Couldn’t ask for a better way to end the season for baseball - one game to decide the league title. WH travels to Plymouth North tomorrow at 4pm - both teams go into action with a 12-3 league record. Winner take all!
