@foodgov @DPPWales Surely this sort of research has been undertaken previously into whistle blowing and sharing of knowledge? We do seem to spend so much time weighing the pig and not enough time feeding it.

@pHandAw @WHoEHG Ditto for us on that. Fraction of the number of staff compared to when I was taken on as a student EHO in the late 80’s. Food Safety & Standards model does need tweaking but what it really,really needs is staffing reinstated.

Good point! The #ROF model is assuming there is a lack of resource. A proper regulatory model needs reasonable and proportionate resourcing. The provision of an appropriate critical mass to ensure public protection. That is the legitimate starting point @foodgov twitter.com/TallPaulTurner…
