@RDTegtmeier I wonder if that could have been minimized by occasionally overseeding with new varieties?

It is amazing how segregated the Penn A-4 bentgrass is this time of year. Parent bio types really stand out. This green was seeded 24 years ago. No poa annua on these greens.

@chuck_stccc That's actually a TB 200 which was copied and is now known as the Sweep N Fill III. Comparing that to a TB 220 is like comparing a brick to a feather. Used judiciously to lift the long, layed over grass blades so they can be mowed off will result in smoother, faster ball roll!

Any TB 200 users want to weigh in on if this is worth doing? It lifts the canopy for sure but does it actually make an impact on texture, ball roll, thatch etc? I ask about thatch because it picks up a ton of green material....

@Sean_ADJ @ECoastTurf I agree, but air porosity appears to be about equal. Would be different if that nice looking mix was native soil. If the cores were taken away, nutrition and o.m. went with them. In my experience, roots won't have any desire to grow into the sterile column any time soon🙄
