Sad news that Alan Rae has died. He facilitated away games for thousands of fans which gave young people memories that will last a lifetime (my first time watching Widnes at Wembley) as well as fundraising for the club on numerous occasions. That's a legacy to be proud of. ⚫⚪

Sad to be reading news of the death of longstanding Supporters Club chairman, Alan Rae. A towering man and figure in Widnes and @WidnesRL Interviewed him many times during the 21 years I've been reporting on the club. Sad loss to the town and RL. WS ⚫⚪ through and through. RIP

So saddened by this news of Alan, along with Pat Price Alan was everything great about @WidnesRL , through thick and thin he was 100% behind the club, Rest well Alan, my deepest sympathy to his family 🏉
