Did you hear the news? #Wisconsin has launched its first Commercial Building Inspector Registered Apprenticeship program! This one-year #apprenticeship will train the next generation of building inspectors across the state starting this fall.

Over 99% of Wisconsin’s public school districts have offered Youth Apprenticeship to for the 2025-26 school year. Youth Apprenticeship programs are quite literally “building” Wisconsin’s future workforce—that’s what happens when you link real-world experience with education.

Today we’re looking ahead to the future of Wisconsin’s workforce with a spotlight on Youth Apprenticeship – the largest of its kind in the nation‼️

Wisconsin’s Registered Apprenticeship program reached a record 18,524 apprentices and more than 3,095 employers, marking the program's fourth consecutive record-breaking year in its 115-year history. 🙌

The innovative “earn-while-you-learn" model allows apprentices to earn money while they learn in the classroom and on the job. Earning a wage while pursuing a career path means more people can participate, and employers across industries are rewarded with a skilled workforce.
