We had the privilege of reading the simple Latin of the Bayeux Tapestry with a group of #WKGSY8 Latin students today at @BayeuxMuseum @BayeuxOfficiel. We spoke about Latin's use in the medieval period and how it was used as a lingua franca for both conqueror and the conquered.

More sneaky peaks at our classroom remodel, with a variety of genuine Pompeian election graffiti, and, in the same Roman handwriting, a tribute to a very special student.

When @WKGS_Latin heard that the classroom was getting a coat of white paint over the summer, plans for a classroom remodel got underway. Today, our first (of many) Pompeian election notices has been painted. Watch this space for the next ones!
