This speech from Zohran Mamdani on America’s 250th changed my politics.
I’ve never seen a more pompous individual whose life has been void of any sacrifice or hard work confidently lecture as if people like him hold the key to human prosperity.
Here’s a guy who had never held a job until he found the angle to satisfy his thirst for attention through politics at age 30, sit behind George Washington’s desk and give us a lecture on what is supposed to be a day of celebration.
Instead of celebrating what this country built, prosperity and human rights that spread across the globe from basically nothing, he turns the moment into a lecture about how America is this flawed project desperately in need of topdown change from useless academics and politicians who’ve never built anything of value for anybody.
As I get older, I have started wrestling with my own ridiculous and undeserved comforts, and the massive sacrifices of generations that made them possible. We should be expressing sheer gratitude for the families who crossed this country in covered wagons chasing a future, for the young men who died in muddy fields and frozen trenches defending it. At some point we let the children forget about this, and it's going to be a tragedy.
Our ancestors didn’t sacrifice so we could sit around demanding more redistribution while building nothing of value ourselves and living in opulence kings couldn't have dreamed of. They built something exceptional through risk, and relentless work.
Watching someone like Mamdani use the 250th as an opportunity to lecture us about what’s wrong with America, it just flips a switch for me. I’m done with the ingratitude.
We need to defend America from those that leech off it's greatness and attempt to redefine it.

@nypost @LattinaBrown If we switch parties in NYC, we won’t be able to vote in the Democratic primaries. The Democratic primary determines who will win NYC elections (always the democratic primary winner). And that’s why a majority of us are still registered Democrats and must remain that way…

In a new poll, Haley Stevens is cleaning Abdul el Sayed's clock with working class voters—by nearly 20 points. And she's ahead with Black voters by 46 points (!). This is the same trend we've seen with all the DSA candidates. Socialism by and for white elites.
Republicans against Trump@RpsAgainstTrump
Stevens' strengths in the poll are with Black voters (67% to El-Sayed's 21%), non-college-educated voters (56% to El-Sayed's 34%), voters over age 55, Metro Detroit voters and traditional Democrats. detroitnews.com/story/news/pol…

Apart from the question of whether @RoKhanna is lying (he is), his performative visit to Judea and Samaria broke the rules and undermined our Constitution.
I was US Ambassador to Israel for 4 years. During that time, the US Embassy facilitated the visits of hundreds of members of Congress. IN EVERY SINGLE CASE, the visit, including the itinerary, was coordinated with the Embassy, and usually with the State Department in DC as well.
This is not just a security driven protocol, although that is an important factor. It also is a reflection of the Constitutional mandate that the foreign policy of the United States is directed by the President through the Department of State.
When a US representative visits a foreign country, the Constitution says that the Executive Branch has the paramount interest in how that visit is achieved. That doesn’t mean that the representative can’t do his own fact finding or draw his own conclusions. But when the representative goes off undermining US foreign policy on foreign soil, that’s foul play.
@RoKhanna went rogue. He couldn’t have cared less about how his theatrics reflected upon our nation. He wanted his sound bites and his video clip, no matter how misleading, and he wasn’t going to let our Constitution get in the way.

🚨 NOW: Speaker Johnson just dropped this chilling line to every American to block the rise of COMMUNISM
"This is not a GAME! Everybody needs to understand these crazy little Mamdanis who are popping up all around the country — they are a DANGER to you and your family. This is not a GAME!"
"If they promise you free stuff, there is far more beneath those promises that even some of these people do not understand themselves."
"And so we are here as the Republican Party to stand on the founding principles of the greatest nation in the history of the world. It is our duty to do that."
"And we're doing it on behalf of all of you, even the journalists who don't agree with our policies all the time."
"You better agree on these principles because that's what keeps you free."
"By the way, it's what keeps the press free, okay? This is essential for your well-being and your family. This is not a game."
"This is not our Father's Democrat Party. This is not, we're not arguing our marginal tax rates anymore. We're arguing whether or not freedom is going to survive!" @SpeakerJohnson

What do you do if you’re Ro Khanna and need to erase the fact you were campaigning for Nazi-tattoo alleged rapist Graham Platner, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate representing Maine?
Hitch a ride to Israel, enter a no-go military zone, throw a tantrum when approached by locals and police and made to leave, then stand in front of mansions owned by Palestinians while making a video complaining about how badly Palestinians in Israel live.
The comedy writes itself.

🚨NOW: Ugandan Mayor Mamdani is being RIPPED after a rising surge in FIREBOMBINGS and attacks on churches across NYC
At least 4 CHURCHES in recent months — and Mamdani doesn't care, radio silence
"Investigators have NOT ruled out arson in a fire that destroyed a 170 YEAR OLD BROOKLYN CHURCH."
Imagine that: they elected a Muslim 3rd world communist and people feel like burning down the church.
WAKE UP NYC!

🚨 JUST IN: Trump-endorsed New York governor candidate Bruce Blakeman OBLITERATES Zohran Mamdani for not caring about a surge in fire bombings against Christian churches in NYC
NYC forgot!
"He has demonstrated that he has an ANTIPATHY for Jews and Christians in the city!"
"This is a guy who skipped the installation of a new archbishop of the Catholic church...wouldn't march in Israel Day Parade. Left Little Italy off his tourist map but put 'Little PALESTINE' in there! I don't know any New Yorker who know anything about where Little Palestine is!"

Let's not lose our grip on the facts - instead of recriminations and accusations - just the facts.
1) Congressman @RoKhanna was offered to coordinate his visit with the State of Israel - this goes beyond notifying of his presence in the country. He was offered in-depth coordination of his schedule to avoid misunderstandings, and he chose to ignore that offer.
He also chose not to coordinate his visit with the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.
2) He chose to conduct his visit accompanied by Palestinian activists, and, for some reason, @nytimes journalists with cameras at the ready. With him was also a person affiliated with @jstreet, an organization that actively lobbies against the government of Israel on Capitol Hill.
3) Mr. Khanna and his entourage entered what was believed to be a closed military zone without permission. The military had no prior knowledge of him going there, due to his refusal to coordinate with them. The vehicle they stopped was unknown to them and therefore provoked suspicion. The moment details of the Congressman's identity were cleared, he was free to go. At no point was the congressman, or any member of his party, threatened by the soldiers, or civilians bearing arms.
4) To add insult to injury - the Congressman used this instance as an opportunity to tout "genocide" and "apartheid" libels to the press, propelling himself to the center of yet another anti-Israel media frenzy.
The facts don't lie - this was a cheap, anticipated provocation, that could, and should have been avoided.
5) Calling me a liar won’t change the facts. I’d be happy to host Congressman Khanna at our embassy for an in-depth conversation on his grievances regarding Israel.
