Hey everyone, a friend of mine in China has opened a shop on Taobao, and I'm having him test if we can handle e-book consignment sales there. I think it'll be way easier to buy from than DLsite or Booth. I'll let you know if there's any progress.

@nichigeckoh There’s even a common saying in Chinese: “Japanese is a language that feels harder the more you learn it.”🥲
English

@nichigeckoh Yes, that’s true — many characters share the same written form in both languages, which definitely lowers the entry barrier for Chinese speakers learning Japanese. But once we move deeper into grammar and sentence structure, it starts to feel much more challenging.

@nichigeckoh @Nickola79684411 Think of it like US vs UK spelling differences, but for characters instead of letters

@nichigeckoh @Nickola79684411 So some characters now have different written forms in modern Japanese vs modern Chinese.
「聖園」 (Japanese) → 「圣园」 (Simplified Chinese)
They’re equivalent characters — just different regional standard forms, not a name change.
