The Bakken is a major oil producer in North America. This weeks case study comes from Continental Resources who has completed several large projects in the Bakken using WL Plastics PE4710 pipe.

Check out our new case studies at wlplastics.com/documents/case… This week's project comes from East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD). This 3,000ft long 32" IPS DR9 HDPE pipeline was selected for its earthquake resistance qualities.

A big shout out to Chris Weight at Secor for fusion help at our Cedar City, UT plant. Usually we get to see Chris in a classroom setting, but this was great to see him show off his skills in the "field". A big thanks to ISCO as well for all their fitting assistance!

Learning what TO do is as important as what NOT TO do. Open cut is a great method for HDPE because trench widths can be narrow and cut and fill volumes are low compared to other pipe types. But use nylon slings not chain as wet pipe is unpredictable and chain can gouge #HDPE.
