A BIG thank you to everyone who participate or donated yesterday! We raised $288 in the 17 minutes! It’s all thanks to the amazing councils and all the people who helped out to make yesterday come together! It’s was heart warming to see all that PRIDE!

Special thanks to Madi McIntyre who was the main coordinator today. We’re so proud of everyone exercising their rights today in remembrance of Parkland ❤️

Congratulations to our student leaders for a job well done today honoring the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS tragedy. The stand for love & support for all was demonstrated well in the readings & speeches selected, the moment of silence, and the sit in. Very MOVING.

TODAY IS THE SIT-IN!! It doesn’t matter if you remembered to wear black and gold or you don’t have money to donate, show your support to the families down in Parkland and take 17 minutes to learn about mental wellness and love! We got that good ol Highlander PRIDE! ⚫️🔶

March 14 @ 10 am : ALL HIGHLANDERS WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE WILL WALK OUT OF THEIR CLASSROOM UPON VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT AND SIT AGAINST THE WALLS. WEAR BLACK AND GOLD. There will be a donation box that will be sent to the Stoneman Douglas Victim’s Fund if you wish to donate.

MARCH 14TH: @ 10 am for 17 minutes (one minute for each victim) ALL HIGHLANDERS WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE WILL WALK OUT OF THEIR CLASSROOM UPON VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT AND SIT AGAINST THE WALLS. There will be speeches, the reading of the names of the victims, and a moment of silence.
