Males spotted on stolen scooters in Selly Oak. Containment traps them in a park and they take to running, with officers losing them in the park... until PD Charlie arrives, uses his nose to track them and locates two hiding in a bush. Both in custody, vehicles recovered.

PD Gus and Kane were involved in a pursuit through Coventry yesterday, resulting in one stolen vehicle and weapon recovered, and three in custody. Charges which included theft of motor vehicle, dangerous drive, robbery and theft were brought after the CID investigation.

PD Lucky assisted officers in searching a vehicle. She located a large amount of Class A drugs that offenders thought they had hidden... but the nose knows! 🐶

With multiple reports of machete-point robberies, PD Kane was deployed to Shirley with firearms and response officers. Offenders ran, so Kane chased and detained one immediately, then tracked and found No.2, then found the last two hiding in bushes. 2 zombie knives recovered also

In the early hours of this morning officers were called to a burglary in Birmingham City Centre. With a suspect making off on foot PD Charlie & AD30 sprung into action; taking the wind from his sails and detaining him for officers to arrest. Great work PD Charlie! 🏃🏽‍♂️…🐕…👮‍♀️

On Saturday in Dudley, officers were given a tip off about the whereabouts of a wanted man. He climbed out of a window and ran off, but with PD Bear & AD38 after him he was never going to get far. 42 teeth brings another one into custody.......

Yesterday in Coventry PD Meghan put her nose to work after officers stopped a suspected drug dealer. AD73 tasked her to search an area where the suspect had been seen and she found numerous concealed packages. In excess of 600 wraps of Class A drugs were found! Well done both!

Last night, a vehicle made off from officers in Shard End, preferring to go off road than stop for some reason. However, he quickly ran out of talent, crashing his car whilst attempting to turn a corner and ran off - luckily PD Gus was there to prove 4 legs are faster than 2!

A robbery took place at a store in Bham, where a male stole used a knife to threaten staff, before leaving in a waiting vehicle. The vehicle is found, and PD Bear is utilised to persuade the offender to get out of the car for the arrest. Knife and stolen goods recovered. 🐕‍🦺

After an attempt to steal a car in Coventry, Warwickshire police's traffic get behind the stolen vehicle used in the offence. Coventry ANPR team sting it, then WMP dogs PD Scout chases and catches the driver, and PD Ugo catches the passenger. Driver has been wanted since 2023.

Another of our newly licensed dogs is PD Bonnie, who was called to a burglary in Coventry last night, to find 3 offenders running as she arrived. She gave chase and detained one of the males, who was also on recall to prison. A chainsaw and baseball bat was also recovered.

... make that 3! Carrying on from the previous post, a male wanted for a number of offences including serious assault kept running from officers in Birmingham last night - however faced with PD Bear, he decided running wasn't the best idea any more and gave up 🐕‍🦺 🏃‍♂️

Report of a stabbing in Brum - the offender had fled. Bear located him trying to hide nearby, and when they came face to face the suspect wisely decided to give up. Bear is one of our newer dogs, recently licensed, and this makes 2 prisoners in 2 weeks - off to a great start!
