Congrats to Jim Whittles, who won the CFI of the Year Award for the GR Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) and State of Michigan.  These awards are General Aviation Awards program between the FAA and industry.  By winning these two, he'll be considered for the national award

Approximately 11 a.m. yesterday, a WMU Cirrus was involved in an incident requiring the deployment of the parachute (CAPS). Thankfully everyone landed safely in a field with no injuries. An investigation will be ongoing as to its cause. Thanks for your patience and support.
