How to effectively safeguard maritime supply chains from criminal threats? This was the kick-off point for conference organised by the WCO, World Shipping Council and the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), which gathered participants from Customs, law enforcement, governments, and the maritime cargo industry to share strategies against organized crime. Panelists highlighted the need for all organizations, both government and private sector, in the maritime supply chain to recognize the deep threat organized crime poses, regardless of their role, size and location.
