Friday, January 15th is the end of the first semester for West Rusk schools. It is also an early release day for students (buses run at 12:45). Proud how the staff and students have handled this very difficult year so far. Here's to a great 2nd semester coming up! #RPND

Any visitors/parents/families attending the homecoming pep rally in the stadium at 2:30 should use the visitor parking lot and visitor entrance of the stadium & must sit in the visitor stands. The WRCCISD student body & faculty will fill the home stands to capacity. Please share!

West Rusk High School will continue its tradition of remembering September 11, 2001 as the Raider Band on the football field will play the Star Spangled Banner followed by Amazing Grace at 8 a.m. #neverforget

KC will be closed Thursday, Aug. 27, due to the threat of inclement weather from Hurricane Laura. Night classes will still be held tonight (Wednesday), but no in-person, remote or online classes will be held Thursday. The college will reopen Friday, Aug. 28 at 7:45 a.m. #BeSafe

We had an awesome first day of school at West Rusk High! What a joy to see and spend time with our kids again. The office staff at WRHS is ready for day 2 and the rest of the 2020-2021 school year! #RPND

WRHS, All high school Students will pick up most current copy of their schedule Monday morning. All band students report to band first thing (schedules passed out there). All other students pick up schedules outside the high school (back patio area). Report by 7:45 a.m.

Reminder about the mandatory meeting Tuesday, Aug. 18th at 6 pm for students and a parent of each student who has indicated they will do virtual learning (at home) this fall. The meeting will be in the WRHS auditorium.

We are currently having the track resurfaced and painted. This will continue for several weeks. Please stay off the track and field during this time. The gates will be locked. Thank you.

Parents and students who are opting for virtual / at-home learning this fall, There will be a mandatory orientation meeting in the high school auditorium for at least one parent and each child. No others allowed. Masks required. Tuesday, August 18th at 6 pm. WRHS auditorium.

WRHS students and parents who are opting for virtual (at home) learning this year must declare by email Monday August 10th of their intentions. You will then receive a phone call from your campus principal detailing your responsibilities as a parent and student for this year.

We can’t expect our students to learn responsibility if we don’t ever give them any freedom.

REMINDER: The early registration payment deadline for Fall 2020 classes is Thursday, August 6. Unpaid classes will be dropped on Friday, August 7. If you need to make payment on your Fall courses, visit kilgore.edu/current-studen… for a list of our various payment alternatives.
