Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service

On Friday the Westpac #RescueHelicopter flew to #UpperCrystalCreek, north of #Murwillumbah following reports of a man suffering burns. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man before he was stabilised by the helicopter’s critical care medical team and flown to the Royal #Brisbane

The Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to #HillEnd, north of #Bathurst following reports of a man in is 40’s suffering a leg injury on a remote walking trail. The Aircrew conducted a short #search, locating the man before airlifting him to #Orange.

Three patients have been airlifted in 24 hours by the #Lismore Westpac #RescueHelicopter flying between #Lismore, the #GoldCoast and #Grafton. All three patients were suffering from serious medical conditions and were stabilised by the helicopter’s critical care medical team.

On Monday 1 April, the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to a tractor accident on a property at #LambsValley. A man in his 70s was treated by paramedics and helicopter’s critical care medical team for multiple injuries and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

Today, #NSWAmbulance tasked the Westpac #RescueHelicopter to #ClothiersCreek. A woman in her 20s was treated for leg injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was trapped for some time before being released from the car and airlifted to #GoldCoast University Hospital.

At about 6:30pm on Monday, the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to #Boggabri, to a man in his 40s suffering serious burns. The man was treated by paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked to a motor vehicle accident on the Pacific Motorway at #Collombatti. A woman was trapped for some time before being released. She was treated by the helicopter’s critical care medical team and flown to John Hunter Hospital.

In 7 days the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked to 12 transfers from #CoffsHarbour, #Gloucester, #PortMacquarie, #Tweed, #Lismore, #Inverell, #Guyra, #Maitland to major hospitals such as John Hunter Hospital, #GoldCoast University Hospital, Prince Alfred Hospital and #Tamworth

On Sunday, the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked to a paraglider who had suffered a heavy landing on rocks at #Dudley Beach in #Newcastle. A man in his 30s was treated by paramedics on scene and the helicopter’s critical care medical team and flown to the John Hunter Hospital.

In 7 days the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked to 12 transfers from regional hospitals including #Muswellbrook, #Inverell, #CoffsHarbour, #Kempsey, #PortMacquarie, #WeeWaa to major hospitals such as John Hunter Hospital, #GoldCoast University Hospital and #Tamworth.

The Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked to a motorcycle accident at #Wamberal. A man was treated for multiple injuries and transported by road to a sports field at #TumbiUmbi. The man was stabilised by the helicopter’s critical care medical team and flown to John Hunter Hospital

On Friday, the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to a motorcycle accident on a fire trail at #HowesValley. A man in his 50s, sustained lower leg injuries and was treated on scene by the helicopter’s critical care medical team and flown to John Hunter Hospital.

In 7 days the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to 10 transfers from regional hospitals; #CoffsHarbour, #Armidale, #Grafton, #Lismore, #PortMacquarie, #Kyogle and #Inverell to major hospitals; John Hunter Hospital, #GoldCoast University Hospital and #Tamworth.

In January the Westpac #RescueHelicopter conducted 113 missions across our bases in #Belmont, #Tamworth and #Lismore. This included 51 #PreHospitalEmergencies, 53 #InterHospitalTransfers and 9 #SearchandRescues. #ThankYou to our #Community who keep us ready to respond 24-7.

On Saturday 17 February, #NSWAmbulance tasked the Westpac #RescueHelicopter to a beach at #Forster. A man in his 80s with head and suspected spinal injuries was treated on the scene before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

On Sunday, #NSWAmbulance tasked the Westpac #RescueHelicopter to a motor vehicle accident at #Ulamambri. A male in his 30s with shoulder, chest and pelvic injuries was treated at the scene of the accident before being airlifted to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

On Monday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Ashford following reports of a serious single vehicle accident. A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s were treated by paramedics and stabilised by the helicopter's critical care medical then flown to Tamworth Base Hospital.

At 12:45pm, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to a man in his 80s who had fallen on rocks at Blue Bay on the Central Coast. NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team treated the man before he was transported by road to Gosford Hospital.

On Thursday, a Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to a motorbike accident at #MaresRun, north west of #Taree. A man in his 70s was treated for injuries by paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
