In rare trip to Havana, the CIA director warned his Cuban counterparts that President Trump should be taken seriously. To make the point, he referred to the U.S. military raid that deposed Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in January. wsj.com/world/americas…

It would be tough to find anyone on the streets of #Venezuela who has noticed any benefit so far. And the argument might be more convincing if the were transparency - at both the U.S. and Venezuelan ends - regarding the flow of funds. Instead there is opacity.
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: For the first time in over a decade the wealth of Venezuela is benefitting the people of Venezuela. It is in a better place today than it was four months ago, but it needs to stay on that path.

The fight among criminal pretenders to Chapo Guzmán’s throne has unfolded like a Shakespearean drama, sparked by betrayal, ambition, greed—and rivers of blood. Some 3,000 people are dead and another 3,600 are missing, @WSJ reports in this gripping tale. wsj.com/world/americas…

Earlier this year, at Trump’s direction, Harp posted a video that included racist imagery depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes, and an AI-generated image of Trump as a Christ-like figure, people familiar with the matter said.

As Americans sleep, Trump posts. His aide Natalie Harp plays an integral role, bringing him stacks of printed drafts of posts for his approval. She logs onto Trump’s account—it can be in the wee hours—and posts the messages he green-lighted. wsj.com/politics/trump… via @WSJ

Since the start of his second term, Trump—with the help of staff—has posted at least 8,800 times on Truth Social, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. Here’s what those posts, many of them posted in late-night bursts, show (via @anthonydb @AnnieLinskey) wsj.com/politics/trump…

From crackling @FT piece on Stephen Miller and his wife: At Duke, he had a relationship with an attractive light-skinned Latina. But Jean Guerrero, author of a book on Miller, said: “She was embarrassed to be seen with him, and didn’t want people to know he was her boyfriend.”

Delcy Rodriguez couldn’t care less about the legal dispute of the Essequibo. The Venezuelan government doesn’t even recognize the ICJ’s jurisdiction on the matter. This trip is all about her being seen abroad as the proper Venezuelan head of state even though she has never received a single vote. A mission that sadly, might prove successful in its objective. Nonetheless, it begs the question, the chavista regime feels really safe on their authoritarian grip on power if they are pulling stunts like these that require Delcy to leave Venezuelan territory. When you are a dictator, the most dangerous thing you can do is leave the country if you don’t have the military 100% behind you. This international trip makes apparent that the Rodríguez brothers are confident on their assessment of the loyalty of the Venezuelan armed forces
