Yikes! This bridge was just a litttttttle too short. Meridian Street is closed in both directions at Louisiana street after a truck hit the railroad bridge. Metro Police tell us there is no clear timeline on when the road -- and bridge -- will reopen, as railroad crews must come out and inspect the bridge. Thankfully, no word on any injuries. As you can see, the clearance is 12 ft. 4 in.

A 20-year-old man is in jail for allegedly shooting and killing a man in Indianapolis in Sept. 2025. IMPD tells us officers arrested Caleb Hill yesterday. He is in the Marion County Jail without bond. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Sept. 12, 2025, along East 11th Street, near 10th and Arlington on the east side. Responding officers found 34-year-old Gregory Newsome Jr. with a gunshot wound to the leg. He later died at the hospital after the gunshot severed his femoral artery, according to court docs. Investigators documented that surveillance cameras showed a black Ford Edge arriving near the apartments before the shooting. The car allegedly is tied to Hill’s girlfriend, who said Hill took the car that night during an argument. Court docs say surveillance video, the car on video, cell phone data and DNA evidence found on a spend shell casing all put Hill at the scene of the shooting. Investigators, however, didn't have any clear explanation as to the motive for the homicide or if Hill and Newsome even knew each other. Hill is set to make his first court appearance later this week
