In the past several weeks and months, we seem to be fielding a lot more abuse, name calling and general trolling than we have before.
We have just reached episode 242 of our podcast and we’re into our fourth season of co-hosting, which we love and adore.
One thing we’ve always said is that the more successful and recognised we become, we will always hold a zero tolerance policy - we understand we are the first line of communication, education and information for our beloved Wakefield Trinity and that opens us to the public, more than before.
We also understand that we should be open to criticism and feedback - something we pride ourselves on is that the reason we have lasted until episode 242 is because we take the majority of feedback on board and we have tailored a podcast for anyone and everyone, our popularity and listenership is something we could never imagine.
…but what we will not accept is abuse, trolling and people attempting to take advantage of our good nature. We do all of this for free, off our own backs and in our own time - we have our own families, relationships and social lives, we do not tolerate any actions of cowardice from behind a phone screen or computer keyboard.
We will re-evaluate our stance on the podcast going into 2026, as we quite frankly don’t have the time or energy to be putting so much work into something - when we receive abuse and online trolling.
It’s unfortunately a representation of society in 2025, we don’t need it and we won’t tolerate it.
If anything we say effects you so much or if anything Wakefield Trinity have done effects you so much - that you feel as though you have to abuse myself or my dad, then take yourself away from social media and get some fresh air.
We will block anybody that lowers themselves to abuse, especially when it comes to a passion project like our podcast. We wouldn’t stand for this in real life and we won’t stand for this online.
This is the last time we will comment about this.
