Compassion Calls Us Day is TOMORROW! Please join us at 10 a.m. in the Little Rotunda of the WV State Capitol, as Christian clergy give speeches advocating for child welfare, clean water, healthcare access, and more.

The Rev. Deacon Mary Sanders of the @ELCA is driving down from Preston County to join us for Compassion Calls Us Day. Deacon Sanders will speak about protecting healthcare. Please join us as we advocate for policies that benefit all West Virginians, rather than doing harm.

Our recently retired executive director, @jsallenwv, will be speaking about child welfare at this year’s Compassion Calls Us Day. This impactful event is open to all West Virginians who are passionate about social justice!

Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett of the United Methodist Church will speak about access to clean water at this year’s Compassion Calls Us Day. We invite all Christians, people of faith, and civically-engaged West Virginians to join us at this annual advocacy day!

Our theme for Compassion Calls Us Day 2025 is “Bread, Not Stones," inspired by a bible passage that ends in the golden rule. Let's urge WV's leaders to craft policy that helps people, rather than doing harm. We'll meet in the Capitol's Little Rotunda at 10 a.m. on Mar. 13.
