The death toll from this week’s devastating floods in south-east Spain has now risen to over 200. Human-induced #ClimateChange doubled the likelihood of the heavy rainfall in the region and made it more intense, as Dr @FrediOtto from @WWAttribution at @imperialcollege explains.

#Milton's Rainfall was made 10-50% more intense & about twice as likely due to #ClimateChange, while wind speeds were around 10% stronger.
