The latest attempt at a #COP30 climate agreement is in – and it is a major letdown. The draft text has zero commitments to end fossil fuels or stop deforestation. Forests are one of our most powerful climate solutions. They absorb carbon, regulate rainfall and cool the planet – yet millions of hectares are lost each year. As #COP30 unfolds in the Amazon, one truth stands out: climate action and forest protection must go hand in hand.
