@BrittanyHottPhD I am not as offended as you all are. I completely recognize that there is no empirical research to support learning styles, but I think that all it takes is for us to emphasize neurodiversity and that most teachers will understand that is what is important. Baby steps..

I attended a training this morning that discussed verbal behavior. Then the learning styles happened... and happened again. This impacted 28 folks. Imagine the damage that this one webinar will cause. There’s so much work to do. #RuralEdMatters

Weird, wonderful day. Prepped a hands-on PD for Ts after school. 12 signed up. By 3pm 9 had cancelled. 🤨 By showtime 2 turned up. By the ten minute mark, one T said “stop! We should be videotaping this! Can I take pictures of this activity? It’s SO good. Where IS everyone?!” 🤷‍♀️

A student I had my second year teaching sent me this message yesterday. It made my day. If you are new to the profession dont judge yourself if you dont have trees yet. Plant all the seeds you can today. #grateful #UDL
