Very often we hear about @Amazon’s latest robot in its warehouses, but the reality is Amazon relies on 1.5 million human workers. And, Amazon's warehouses with robots have higher injury rates than those without. #AmazonHurts

In 2022, Amazon’s worker injury rate was reportedly 70% higher than the rate at non-Amazon warehouses. Its serious injury rate was more than double the rate at non-Amazon warehouses. 2022 was MacDougall's last year on the job as Amazon's VP of Workplace Health and Safety.

NEW: Warehouse worker injuries are on the rise in New York. The rate of injury equates to one injury per nine workers in 2023, a 30% increase in injuries year over year. @GovKathyHochul must sign the Warehouse Worker Injury Reduction Act into law now. cityandstateny.com/policy/2024/12…

We are taking precautions, making plans and preparing for 2025. We know workers rights will be under attack.  Our worker relief fund supports workers who are subjected to workplace retaliation for organizing and speaking out.

For more than a decade, workers' rights have been the center of our work, and we have made significant progress. However, with Trump returning to office, we know that the deck is even further stacked against workers fighting for change.
