CHECK IT OUT | Rainfall so far. Most of the rain fell in the Valley and Plateau with some getting 1/2" to 1". Around Seymour, small hail built up from a brief thunderstorm for some. The rain should be ending between 10pm and midnight. #10Weather #WBIR

RADAR UPDATE (11/2 - 3:50pm) | Scattered showers will continue through about midnight, mainly over the Plateau and Valley. Those getting rain can expect 1/4" to 1/2". #10Weather #WBIR #TNwx

A LOOK AHEAD | Sunday will be mainly cloudy with scattered showers possible, especially over the Plateau, Valley, and north of I-40. Temps will remain below average. #10Weather #WBIR

ALMANAC | It was a cold and foggy start for most with temps close to freezing. After some breaks, clouds thickened back up ahead of another system that will be spreading some showers into east Tennessee tonight and Sunday. #10Weather #WBIR

A LOOK AHEAD | Clouds will be slowly eroding today and as the sun sets under a mostly clear sky, temps will be falling quickly so take a jacket for trick or treaters. Happy Halloween! #10Weather #WBIR

RADAR UPDATE (10/30 - 1:10pm) | Spotty showers and drizzle will continue at times through this evening and then taper off. A bit of sun is peaking through the clouds but they will not fully clear out until tonight just in time for a sunny and dry Halloween. #10Weather #WBIR #TNwx

RADAR UPDATE (10/29-3:10pm) | Periods of rain will continue with drizzle/mist in between through tonight. Spotty showers will still be possible Thursday on the backside of low pressure as it moves out. #10Weather #WBIR #TNwx

UPDATE | Most of this month's deficit has bee washed away recently with nearly 1.5" of rain. More showers today and tonight could bring an additional 1/2" to 1" of rain to round out the month. At least sunshine will return for Halloween! #10Weather #WBIR

A LOOK AHEAD | Monday will start off wet with periods of rain that will last most of the day. Along with cloud cover, temps will only climb into the middle to upper 50s so be sure to dress in long sleeves and have that umbrella too. More rain moves in Wednesday. #10Weather #WBIR

TROPICAL UPDATE | Melissa is now a category 3 major hurricane with winds of 115mph and still intensifying. It is expected to make a direct hit on Jamaica as a catastrophic hurricane late Monday or early Tuesday. #10weather

ALMANAC | It was very close to a seasonable day today under a variably cloudy sky. Sunday will start off a little bit warmer than this morning but it will still be chilly with lows in the middle to upper 60s. Showers move in overnight through Monday. #10Weather #WBIR

TROPICAL UPDATE | Melissa is now a hurricane and rapidly intensifying. It is predicted to hit Jamaica as a catastrophic hurricane with maximum wind from 140 to 160 mph. 3' to 4' of rain will be possible along with a 13' surge and much higher waves. #10weather

TROPICAL UPDATE | It's not looking good for Jamaica. Melissa is forecast to become a catastrophic hurricane with winds approaching category 5 strength before a direct hit on Monday. It's also moving quite slow which will exacerbate the impact. #10weather

ALMANAC | After a cold and frosty start, clouds invaded to help keep temps from climbing into the 70s like Thursday. Temps will be dropping into the 30s overnight with frost possible too. Variable clouds will allow enough sun to warm temps into the upper 60s. #10Weather #WBIR

CHECK IT OUT | If you are planning to go to Lexington to see the game Saturday, be sure to wear warmer clothes. Temps will be in the 50s at kickoff time and throughout the game under a cloudy sky. #10Weather #WBIR

TROPICAL UPDATE | Tropical storm Mellissa is still trying to become organized as it barely drifts north northwest. By Sunday morning, it may become a major category 3 hurricane with 120mph winds. It is predicted to get even stronger as time progresses. #10weather

A LOOK AHEAD | The next two mornings will be quite chilly with lows dipping into the 30s. Frost will be possible both mornings. Lows will continue to warm thereafter through the middle of next week. #10Weather #WBIR
