Today is my Birthday! I turned 36 today. What a wild ride it has been. Woke up reflecting on everything that has happened so far in life and here are some lessons I have learned. - Failure doesn't define who you are. It is an event, not a characteristic of someone. - If people show you who they really are, believe them. - I never thought about my health until it starts declining and that is when I realized how great it is to be healthy. You never realize the true value of health until you are sick. - Investing in yourself is the absolute best investment you can make. When I was at my poorest financial position, I never knew what this phrase actually meant. I heard it in YouTube videos but it never actually clicked for me. Once I started to learn to code, that is when it clicked! Investing in yourself means growing a skill, learning something valuable that can be used in the marketplace, building a new career, etc. - You are your best investment, invest accordingly! - Nothing feels better than love. Nothing feels more painful than love. We know the pain potential is there but the risk for the reward is worth it. - Never lose an opportunity in life simply because you didn't say "I think I can do that." The ones who speak up may miss, but it won't be for a lack of trying so the regret doesn't linger. - No matter how hard things get or have been one thing will always remain true, You absolutely got this!
