The same applies here: don’t count a baby before it is born and viable. I take no pleasure in any death. I lost my husband to cancer last year... death has been far too close and painful. But it is callous to force an unwilling woman to risk her health, her body, and possibly her life for nine months to carry a pregnancy she does not want. You demand she act as life support against her will, yet offer no real support once the child is here. That inconsistency is what I challenge.

That is where the shield of fails. There are too many instance where God demands the deaths of fetuses or children and babies. Using God as a just reason falls short. You have the right to your beliefs. I would fight every single person who tried to take them away from you. But your personal beliefs shouldn't override another living persons choices. I don't agree with what a lot of people do.. but I don't have the right to make that choice for them. I only have the right to try and understand and find a better way if possible. I do not want mothers to kill their offspring. That is not what I’m saying. I want every woman to have the right to decide whether she can safely and responsibly bring a child into this world... especially when she is already telling us she cannot. You demand she carry the pregnancy for nine months, but the moment the child is born, that same concern often vanishes. “Can’t feed the kid? Shouldn’t have had one. Work harder. No free lunches... that’s socialism.” No help in the care she already cited she couldn’t give. The hypocrisy is glaring. I’m not advocating killing. I’m advocating that no woman be forced into motherhood against her will, sharing her life, health, and body when she knows she cannot give that child the life it deserves. That choice belongs to her ... not to strangers who will not live with the consequences.

Why does the Bible provide a recipe in Numbers 5:11-31 for a drink that causes a suspected unfaithful woman’s belly to swell and drop, ending the pregnancy? If she is innocent, nothing happens. If guilty, the child never takes its first breath. And she may become infertile for the rest of her days. Is that where your moral compass stems? Because that is just one example of Bible-sanctioned endings of unborn life. Where is your outrage over that? And yes... several states have already enacted near-total abortion bans. The Supreme Court may eventually weigh in, but right now the law varies by state. Legally, in many places, the decision still belongs to the woman.

You don't get to kill your child just because you made a mistake making it. Why do you want mothers to kill their offspring?

Legally, that decision belongs to the woman... not to you or the state. When she does not consent to carry the pregnancy, forcing her to continue is compelling her to act as life support against her will. We cannot legally do that to terrorists, even the worst ones. It is considered a war crime to conscript someone’s body to sustain another life. If you truly believe the fetus is a full legal person with rights, then it must also follow the law. It has no right to force the use of her body. A born child can be surrendered to the state... parents are not legally required to donate blood, organs, or their body to keep it alive. A fetus is not a citizen (the only two paths are birth or naturalization). Do you see how incoherent it becomes when you grant full personhood rights to a fetus while stripping the living woman of basic bodily protections we extend even to terrorists?

Treatment egtopic pregnancy isn't considered an abortion and is allowed in every state. Other than that there is no reason to kill the child before removing it.
