The tell is always ‘content’ Real writers don’t call their art content. I don’t associate my grammatical messes with an insulting term like that. They’re art that I made with my brain. You can do the same. Have some self-respect.

on the same topic i saw people suggesting a "solution" to this and it's to just read the stuff that predates AI genuine question: do you not realize how discouraging that is to all the authors (new and old ones) that are still willing to post their stuff?

like to me the proliferation of ai in fic/fandom spaces and the new consumerist mindset of a lot of fand and the need to be a bnf sort of "influential fan" all go hand in hand. it's about wanting attention and approval and this is how people are going about it. it sucks.

AO3 author YingBuGu admits to using AI in their HR longfic too and the readers eat it up. I’m starting to think it’s less about a witch hunt and more that readers simply do not care about plagiarism, the environment, or human creativity. Bleak as hell.
