Had the chance to animate an octopus. Motionbuilder's spline IK system is tricky to setup correctly and I didn't have a ton of time to animate this so I did it all with FK and a LOT of animation layers and story editor shenanigans. #madewithunity #3danimation #gamedev

@rosagi_99 @bclark_cgchar With the additive layers and story mode? Absolutely. Blending individual takes/clips together and having control over how they time warp and blend into each other is a massive lifeline. I would've loved to incorporate more complicated spline movement, though.

Here's the base loop that is used in just about all of the animations in some capacity by blending it in story mode with various additive layers/sub-tracks.
