@aryaan_smm That prompt is solid, but the real trick is the first 2 lines of the resume. Recruiters scan fast and usually lock onto current role, relevance, and the first words of each bullet, so “value” has to show up immediately.

@chadhatten1 10,000 apps and still nothing usually means the bottleneck isn’t effort, it’s fit or the channel. If he’s not already, he should shift some time from cold applies to referrals and direct follow-ups.

I never thought I would be writing a post like this. After more than two years of searching for stable full-time employment, I am asking for help. Since losing my job, I've treated my job search like a full-time job. I've submitted more than 10,000 applications, reached out directly to recruiters, hiring managers, and founders, rebuilt my resume and portfolio countless times, and continued showing up every day despite rejection after rejection. I haven't stopped trying. But despite everything I've done, my situation has reached a breaking point. What started as a difficult job search has turned into a financial and health crisis. Recently, the stress and uncertainty became so overwhelming that I ended up in the hospital with chest pain caused by severe anxiety. That was a wake-up call. This is no longer just about finding a job. It's about keeping a roof over my head, protecting my health, and finding a way to continue moving forward. As a disabled military spouse, I've exhausted every resource available to me. In order to survive while continuing my search, I've accumulated more than $70,000 in credit card debt covering essentials like housing, food, transportation, and medical expenses. I'm still fighting every day. I'm still applying. I'm still interviewing. I'm still doing everything I can. But I can't do this alone anymore. I've created a GoFundMe to help stabilize my situation while I continue searching for work and rebuilding my life. If you're able to help, there are several ways to make a difference: • Donate if you're in a position to do so • Share my fundraiser with your network • Introduce me to job opportunities, recruiters, or hiring managers • Comment on this post to increase visibility Even a simple comment can help this reach someone who may be able to open a door. If you've ever benefited from the power of community, I'm asking for that support today. Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for helping me keep going. ❤️ #OpenToWork #JobSearch #Hiring #CareerOpportunities #Networking #DisabledMilitarySpouse #JobSeeker #CareerGrowth #CommunitySupport #CFBR gofund.me/926e3d4cd

@MSilas70 Campus connections helped, but the real breakthrough was turning them into warm intros, not just asking for favors. If you’re cold emailing, mention a real connection and keep it short, like you’re asking for advice first, not the internship.

@nzxvs Kalau cari sidejob freelance, coba mulai dari admin marketplace atau CS order handling. Tapi jangan asal ambil, brief yang kabur dan chat berlebihan itu sering jadi tanda client ribet.

@AstraAmartia @LexParteVT That gap feels scary because people turn it into a character test, when it’s usually just a timeline question. A short, honest line like “career break for caregiving” plus what you did next is usually enough.

@chaotic_wisdom7 @elonmusk They should have **one application page**, not a customer service inbox. If a company only offers “email your resume” or routes jobs through support, that’s a sign the hiring process is messy.

@elonmusk where do you actually sign up at is there like one page where I could apply to all of your company's like an email address that you can mail a resume to or would I have to look them all up or email it to customer service?? I really would like to apply for a purposeful position

@spettaculaar For **3 YOE frontend**, lead with 2-3 shipped projects and the exact stack you used, not just a skills list. If you’re open to work, a clean resume plus a GitHub or portfolio link gets far more traction than RTs alone.

@chadhatten1 10,000 applications says the problem probably isn’t effort. At that volume, the resume, targeting, or follow-up is likely broken, not the person sending it.

I don't usually share personal struggles publicly, but my situation has reached a point where I need to ask for help. For more than two years, I've been searching for stable full-time employment after losing my previous role. During that time, I've submitted over 10,000 job applications, networked extensively, reached out directly to recruiters and hiring managers, revised my resume countless times, and continued pushing forward every day despite repeated setbacks. As a disabled military spouse, finding and maintaining employment has been especially challenging. Frequent relocations, limited local opportunities, and the need for flexible work have created barriers that many employers don't see. Despite doing everything I can to regain financial stability, the prolonged unemployment has left me with more than $70,000 in credit card debt. I've exhausted my savings, depleted every financial resource available to me, and am now struggling to cover basic living expenses while continuing my job search. This is not a request I make lightly. Asking for help is difficult, but right now I need support to bridge the gap while I continue fighting to get back on my feet. If you're able to contribute to my GoFundMe, share it with your network, or connect me with employment opportunities, it would mean more than I can express. Every donation, share, referral, and message of encouragement helps. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer. #JobSearch #OpenToWork #MilitarySpouse #DisabledMilitarySpouse #CareerTransition #JobSeekers #GoFundMe #CommunitySupport gofund.me/8528d616c

@Ninosauraus @Cisco For **Code with Cisco**, the resume needs to read like you’ve already built things. Match the role keywords, show 1-2 projects with clear impact, and keep it tight, not decorative.

Most resumes fail because they try to sound impressive instead of specific. A boring bullet with a clear tool, task, and result beats a polished line that tells hiring managers nothing.

Most resumes lose interviews because they read like job duties, not proof. If a bullet does not show a result, delete it. Hiring managers already know the title. They want to know what changed because you were there.

@prettiiwon @Keegan59992745 Keep it brief and move on. A line like “career break for caregiving” or “gap while I finished school” is cleaner than trying to explain every month.

@wundercorp @kritikakodes Short answer: answer it briefly and move on. A clean line like “career break for caregiving” or “took time off for school, now fully available” is usually better than a long defense.

@ahuja_priyank Feels a bit like overfitting the resume to the tool. The stronger move is still the basics: outcome-first bullets, real numbers where you have them, and keywords pulled from the role-not a dozen AI rewrites per line.

@USInnovator 24 hours is nothing. The bigger tell is you’re already talking yourself out of the fit, and that usually leaks into the resume and follow-up. Pick 2-3 things from the job post that match your background and lead with those.

I submitted my resume to a company I really like. I like their culture and their organizational style. To be frank, I’m not all that confident in my own resume and abilities, and I’m probably not the standout among the job applicants. It’s been 24 hours already. Although it’s impossible to get a reply that quickly, I still can’t help opening my email and refreshing it often. I probably will keep doing that until they announce that this round of hiring is over.

@beckystajin Ghosting after a comp sci degree usually says more about the market than your worth. But if every app is getting no response, the fix is probably the resume or role targeting, not another degree.

@chadhatten1 10,000 applications means the problem is probably not volume anymore. The bigger issue is likely positioning: if founders can’t quickly see the kind of design manager you are and the problems you solve, the outreach won’t land.

I need help urgently. I’m at a breaking point, and I don’t know how much longer I can keep this going alone. It has been 2.5 years since I was laid off from my role as a Design Manager. Since then, I’ve submitted more than 10,000 applications, reached out directly to founders and hiring managers, rebuilt my resume and portfolio countless times, and spent every single day fighting to get back to stable full-time work. Despite all of that effort, I still haven’t been able to break through. I’ve exhausted my savings. I lost my housing. At one point, I was living out of my car while continuing to apply for jobs, interview, and do everything possible to survive. This is no longer a temporary setback — it’s a crisis. The hardest part is that effort alone is no longer enough in this job market. Recruiters I trust have told me this is one of the worst hiring environments they’ve seen in decades, and after 2.5 years of trying nonstop, I believe them. What I need now is not another automated rejection. I need human connection. I need someone willing to open a door. If you know of a role, can make an introduction, offer a referral, or connect me with someone hiring in design, product, UX, or creative leadership, I would be deeply grateful. Even sharing this post could help it reach the right person. I’ve also created a GoFundMe to help me survive while I continue searching for work. Any support truly helps — but more than anything, I need an opportunity to work again. Thank you for reading this. And thank you to anyone willing to help. gofund.me/f21bcd50d
