@quame_jnr1 I think it’s prestige. I have a personal banker and literally never have to go to a branch and when I do I don’t join normal queues and stuff they have an executive floor for personal banking: deposits, withdrawals etc but most of my correspondence is via mail and WhatsApp.

@quame_jnr1 Wise gives physical cards, I have a virtual card linked to my Apple Pay so I don’t need a physical card and that’s what I use when I travel. Absa charges I think 7% on international txns if I use my card anywhere but Ghana and the rate is terrible. Absa works great locally tho

Ghanaians really have great PR in SA and yes there are unsafe parts but chances you are going there is very low less than 2% unless you go out of your way to visit the bad parts.

Partly why anytime the boys dey talk about SA trip I be apprehensive. You fit just dey there make demma madness start. 2006, 2008, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, not counting the most recent attacks. How do you look at this history and think, "Yes, vacation hotspot?"
