There are overnight roadworks on the M25 which have delayed us slightly. Updated ETA 11.15pm

ETA at Waingels 11pm. Please do not block Waingels Road as the coach will need access and the gate will be closed until we arrive. We suggest that you wait in Ashenbury Park until you see the coach pass. Merci d'avance!

We finished off the morning by walking up to the Canadian front line monument and the cemetery

Students were able to explore the trenches and tunnels which have been preserved

An incredibly interesting morning at Sanctuary Wood. We spent time in the museum before heading to the trenches.

We had a surprise snail dégustation after dinner followed by our trip Secret Santa. A super day!

After lunch we visited the marché de noël and went on the Lille wheel!

A jam-packed day was enjoyed by all! We started off in the old town ...

We have left Dover and are en route home. Our ETA at Waingels is 3am. Please do not block the entrance to school. Please be reassured that students are not expected in school until the start of period 4 on Tuesday.

We have left Calais!! Will update when we arrive in Dover and are able to confirm our ETA at Waingels.

Despite the delays, we've actually had a really nice evening and a massive thank you to @ukhomeoffice - the UK border force have done a fab job looking after us!

Further update on the delays we have experienced. We are now awaiting the 10:30pm ferry (9:30pm UK time). This means our current arrival time at school is 1am. All students are fine, fed and watered. Please keep referring to the school website for further updates.

I am extremely happy to report that we are going to be on the 20.55 ferry to Dover. On the plus side, we are looking forward to seeing the sunset over the channel! 🌅

We are still stuck in Calais - waiting in the queue for the French border control. Everyone is well and in good spirits! I will update when I can.
