The grade 5's will be voting on and purchasing a Canadian class "pets" from WWF to keep in their classroom as a symbol of their donation to the WWF cause for their animal of choice. Way to go grade 5's!

The grade 5 students decided in lieu of receiving any gifts themselves, they would work to earn money to donate to the Kinsmen Christmas wish as well as the World Wildlife Foundation.

2W participated in a modified Food Bank Advent Calendar from Nov 13-30. The goal was to be able to donate the 30 items on the food bank advent calendar. Then they were challenged by Mrs. Lingley to donate 100 items! 2W reached 146 items to donate!

3S took advantage of the mild weather to gather sand and make models of erosion and weathering yesterday. Don't worry Mr. Mitchell, we returned the sand to the long jump pit afterwards!

The WES running club finished their season with a run at Bevan's. The students have used this space for their practices and it paid off. ALL students put in personal best times during their race. They capped their season off with a pizza party lunch. Well done runners!

October 5 is World Teachers Day! A day to recognize and appreciate the incredible dedication and hard work of our amazing BTPS teachers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our teachers for their unwavering commitment to our students growth and success. Thank you for all you do!

Wear ORANGE Thursday, Sept 28th as WES takes the time to listen, learn, and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools.

Sept 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. There will be division wide learning opportunities for all BTPS students on Thurs, Sept 28th. We will wear our orange shirts on this day to raise awareness of the impacts of residential schools. btps.ca/download/427326

The Grade 5s spent time today learning about weather instruments and created their own to see how wind is measured using a weather vane and an anemometer.
