I realised that as a Christian it isn’t enough to just read Scripture but I also have to study it and become a scholar of the Word. I want to share how I study Scripture to anyone trying to figure out how/where to start. A thread🧵

This is not fully correct especially because we even see where Moses, quite literally, had people to lean on. The reality is that although prophets may have people in their lives they can confide in, they truly do not have anyone they can fully trust in. There is only God. They only have God to lay bare their heart's cries...sometimes even fellow prophets cannot understand the weight of the pressure they carry because not all prophets have the same area of calling. Yes, it is quite lonely. That is 100% true.

Elijah had nobody to lean on. Prophets never have. They’re lonely men. If you aspire to be a prophet you’d better get ready to sell out to everything else because it’s going to be a lonely path.

I have seen, first-hand, how Satan exploited my kindness, silence, grace towards others, compassion, and desire for justice to do me like chewing gum. Satan knows how God calls us to treat others and he banks on us doing that — while forgetting the other parts about Scripture. We end up with love without boundaries, grace without discernment, repeated forgiveness without apologies, reconciliation without accountability, self-abandonment without self-love, etc. Never again.

Too much of this is happening within the Church but I trust that God will bring all these things to order in due time.
