Today was a day with many important moments. Poetry Club met their NEW SPONSOR, MS. IONE SAUNDERS!!! We celebrated our seniors who graduate in less than a month! It was the last Poetry Club meeting of the school year and it was PERFECT!💕 PEACE. LOVE. FAMILY. Thank you, poets!

Poet @regieguy (on IG) performed at Wakefield on Wednesday. Students wrote list poems about things that didn’t suck. What a fun way to spend lunch! Thanks to all who wrote with us! Thanks to @APSArts and Mr. Monroy for funding and setting up this event for us!

Poetry Club was amazing yesterday. We watched @HieuMinh's poem “Notes on Staying”. After we recovered from what it did to our souls, we wrote about great-aunts, our fathers, and friends we made in unexpected places. WRITE WITH US THURSDAYS IN D-103!
