Today I had planned to start posting silly and joyous Hanukkah memes. But with the tragedy in Australia, I cannot. It has been a struggle all day. My thoughts are with those in Australia as they mourn their loved ones.

@comedy7133 @t_a_brosz @longshotauthor My brain absorbs quickly too. I have no idea what slow down means in terms of reading.

With books that I really enjoy, I like to take my time. I don't want to rush to the end, especially if I know that there are no more books coming in that series. Also, as I read a book, I sort of play it in my mind like a DVD. If actors have not already played those roles, I cast actors who I have seen, in roles where I think that they would be a natural fit. For example I saw Eric Etebari in the TV series Witchblade, and Juliet Landau in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I used both of them in the Babylon 5 book trilogy The Passing of the Technomages (1. Casting Shadows, 2. Summoning Light and 3. Invoking Darkness), as brother and sister evil technomages. The main character Galen, was played by Peter Woodward who played Galen in the Babylon 5 TV series Crusade. Doing that makes the books come alive for me. BTW, I pre-ordered #18 TWELVE MONTHS an hour and a half ago.

@t_a_brosz @longshotauthor A lot of the artwork that I have seen of Harry, has them wearing a hat, and if I remember correctly, Harry never wears a hat. I thought Joanne Kelly was excellent as Bianca.

Since the next installment of #DresdenFiles is dropping early next year, I decided to do a series re-read to refresh things. It's only 18 books, 2 short story anthologies and a bunch of micro-fiction.
