Walsall CAMRA

A week on Tuesday we have our branch meeting, put back a day due to the bank holiday. This time at Manor Arms in Rushall, again starting at 7.30pm.

This Thursday we have an informal meeting at Walsall Arms to discuss social events, starting at 7.30pm. On Saturday we have a social this time starting in Bloxwich at New Invention Brewery from 2pm, with visits to local pubs The Wheatsheaf, Bloxwich Showman and The Bell.

@mu51nb Sorry to hear this. The beer is usually really good in there. I've not been in for a couple of months. Will do a re-visit. Looking at your tweets it seems like you had a good wander around. Hope it was a good day and thanks for visiting.

Butt’s Tavern, Walsall. Not sure how this got in the good beer guide @WalsallCAMRA. Watching a drug deal happening in the doorway as I approached wasn’t a good sign. Half of Holdens Golden Glow just about ok…

Tomorrow evening at 7.30pm is our final branch meeting at the Victoria (Katz) in Walsall. Would be great to see you there.

7th of Feb at The Malthouse in Willenhall, 7th of March at The Archers in Yew Tree and 4th of April at Jiggers Whistle in Brownhills. All start at 7.30pm and everyone welcome.

Some dates for your diaries November 27th we are having a social at @Ajs_Ales meeting up around mid-day then having a wander around pubs. The next few branch meetings are December 6th at The Victoria (Katz), 4th of Jan (Tuesday because of the bank holiday Monday) at Walsall Arms

@Veritas11001896 Plenty. Black Country Arms, Pretty Bricks, The Victoria (Katz), Lyndon House, Walsall Arms, St Matthews Hall the soon to be reopening Wheatsheaf, and those are just the town centre real ale pubs off the top of my head.

@bossbeechyscoop There has been all kinds of rumours but it is believed it is being given a makeover and being turned into a Desi pub. The boards do look a bit dramatic though. We hope it stays as a pub as we need before and after Walsall games.

@WalsallCAMRA Has The Fullbrook closed down for good now or is having a major refit? I noticed today that there are builders’ hoardings all around it now.
