Coombs is a two-sport star who is a Top 25 rated RB nationally and one of the top baseball prospects in his class. He is a Top 15 ranked recruit in the State of Maryland in Football and a Top 10 ranked recruit in Baseball. Coombs, a member of the US Army All-America team had Football offers from Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M, Ole' Miss, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, West Virginia among other schools. And Baseball scholarship offers from Alabama, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech.
