@Cheamane As an outsider to hip-hop, I feel I immediately understand the term. If you say classic rock, I have no clue what you mean. Do you mean Chuck Berry? Beatles? Black Sabbath? Santana? It spans every populated continent, and at least 3 decades. How does the "classic" narrow it down?

The term old school hip-hop has a negative stigma around it for some reason. They don't call other genres old school. For example, even if it's 1960s Rock & Roll, it's coined Classic Rock, not old school Rock.

@schmiddi090 Listen to simple/old music, sing over held chords. A lot of people try to get complicated when they notice their music is unmelodic, but doing big chord changes and adding complications usually leads to confused/intricate harmony rather than strong melody.

All my melodies are kinda dark an unmelodic. Any tips on how I change that?

@_m33shka_ I find every time I take a break from it, I immediately get pulled back in but in a new way. It's almost as if what we need a break from is our mindset and approach to it more than it in and of itself.

Yeah I’m taking a break from music in a lot of ways but I think this is going to get me inspired to curate more actively again, so that’s something to look forward to

Just remember, if AI music can get a following, so can you! Just photoshop all your pics and auto tune all talent out of your voice.

@Wanmohan1 This vocal is beautiful. It reminds me of Chris Issak’s Wicked Game. It’s crazy how such a simple track can do so much for the emotion of the song. I love how the slide glides so slowly toward the end of the song. It adds so much “longing”. Uncertainty. Well done.
