Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI. We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more: gamespot.com/articles/baldu… We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

After everything I've had to live through over the last few weeks, I'm of the very firm belief that some kind of free Internet access, is as mandatory as clean water and electricity in this day and age

@Wannab3Spaceman @Prusa3D The kit is now $3k. Expensive, but it is an incredible printer. The good news is that I think the deals are to help clear inventory for when the INDX versions of the Core One come out. So maybe just wait? If you are a Prusa fan, you know how to do that…

@ThatGuyMarkRyan @Prusa3D I've been wanting to get into print-in-place prosthetics for years now, and tried it with the MMU2 a while back, but all the problems of single nozzle MMU setups meant designing around said problems, and not the intended end result

@ThatGuyMarkRyan @Prusa3D And by the time I'm done waiting, the partially assembled version (aka, the cheaper option we're discussing) won't be available for purchase anymore, as the blog post states they're only going to have a fully assembled option on the store from 2026 onwards

The VR industry being as small as it is, means I get to see huge companies and celebs interact with hardware, of which people I personally know worked on The six degrees of separation theory is real, and it's neat to see how it works out

@GoingBallistic5 Landing on these two particular numbers for the DoF of the hand is less common than you'd think from what I've seen, and it's something I've specifically been researching through VR glove design, so you'd think I'd find it everywhere

Please, please, please The 6 DoF at the wrist is called the arm. Do not conflate those DoFs with the hand For all pratical purposes, the human hand has 22 Joints, but approximately 20 DoF Only video gamers think the hand has 27 DoF. Because it's usually disembodied
