@BizarroMaxOG @HuskerPod I would guess a “stretch” function on a flatscreen/widescreen would fill the image but upscaling the VHS would look like poo-poo. Still worth the experiment to watch the de-specialized editions on beautiful grainy VHS.

@WannabeWalkons @HuskerPod I have the original non-special edition Star Wars in 16:9 letterbox on VHS. But I don’t have a 4:3 television any more. Or a VCR. Not sure how it would play these days.

You know what's kinda lame that I never considered before? That the solution for transitioning from a 4x3 to a 16x9 image was to add advertisements

So I can’t cheer for the only D1 football program in the state I lived my whole life - a place I returned to immediately after graduation b/c I can only cheer for the football team of the school I graduated from (which I attended solely for their premiere theatre dept)? Got it.
