I know the chart records show it, but real ones remember that this genuinely was not a hit in the US. It had streaming “legs” because of retail stores and social media use by people from other countries. It makes the lore even cooler

@armaanification i was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was probably because Grease (the song) is literally 70's-80's as fuck but then you said he thought that's how people dressed in the 80's .

if you really wanna talk STUPID i once met this guy who thought that the film adaptation of Grease was SET in the 80s and that that’s what people dressed like in the 80s. I proceeded to ask him what his point of reference was for the 50s and he said The Beatles.
