A 26-year-old guy from Newport, North Carolina, is heading to prison for two years after posting violent threats on YouTube about storming a Black preschool and killing children there.
Zachary Charles Newell made the disturbing comments on August 27, 2025, in response to a video on the platform. As per federal court records, he expressed his intention to “shoot up a black preschool” and “kill 20 black babies and then skin them alive like animals.” He further elaborated on his racist views, stating that he would derive immense pleasure from witnessing the suffering and death of Black individuals.
Newell was arrested shortly after posting the threats and pleaded guilty to communicating online threats last November. On March 27, 2026, U.S. District Judge James C. Dever III sentenced Newell to two years in federal court in Raleigh.
