Big boosters that I'm close with are pretty much in unison here. We don't want to pay this much before even paying Tommy Lloyd a penny in salary.

The idea that North Carolina can afford to pay Hubert Davis $5 million to leave and Arizona $9 million for Lloyd's buyout before they've given him a penny in salary or a dime for his roster seems very far fetched to me, to put it mildly.

Regardless of what happens at Carolina, I really hope the new regime keeps Eric Hoots in the program. Whether it’s in his existing role or a new title, he’s the perfect person to bridge the gap between former players and the new staff. Hoping he makes it through all this.
