🚫🔥🚫 THERE WILL BE NO OPEN BURNING TODAY, FRIDAY APRIL 7th, IN THE WAREHAM FIRE DISTRICT 🚫🔥🚫 Due to the high winds and low humidity predicted in todays weather, the Wareham Fire District will not be allowing burning of any kind!!!

TANKER 1 - PROGRESS PHOTOS 🚒 Check out the photos of the new tanker in production!!! Tanker 1 is a 2023 Alexis 2000 gallon tanker and will replace our current 1977 Ford 1500 gallon tanker. This was made possible by the FEMA (AFG) Assistance to Firefighter Grant program!!!

Chief John Kelley and Engine 5, travelled to Duxbury Fire to provide station coverage. Members attended the candlelight vigil which was held to offer prayers for the Clancy family. Tonight, we support Duxbury Fire during this time of grief and heartache🖤❤️🖤

WFD responded to a Third Alarm fire in a residential structure on Main Street. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire Chief John Kelley said, "All WFD personnel performed seamlessly with our mutual-aid partners and we greatly appreciate their assistance."

This morning, members from our department both participated & provided fire protection for the Wareham High School JROTC in their flag retirement ceremony. This ceremony is a respectful and honorable act of retiring American Flags that are no longer suitable for display 🇺🇸

🚨NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 3, 2022 Per the Superintendant of the Wareham Public School system, school will be closed on Monday, January 3, 2022.

This morning after 7:00 AM, @Wareham_Fire responded to Route 25 for an MVA. Two sedans had heavy damage and required extrication. Drivers were removed and placed into the care of Wareham EMS. Engine 5 also responded to a separate medical emergency in town during this incident!

On Tuesday afternoon several Wareham Firefighters volunteered to escort Santa and Mrs. Clause from Decas School to the new Wareham Elementary School! We are thankful that Santa and Mrs. Clause were able to spend time in Wareham, given how busy they are at this time of year!

On Thursday evening, several members of @Wareham_Fire trained on the hazards involving Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). A representative from National Grid, along with the WFD training division led the group!

On Thursday, @Wareham_Fire responded to an Amazon delivery van on fire. Shift 2 quickly knocked down the fire and a second vehicle, which was parked close by that was also damaged in the incident. There were no injuries and several packages in the van were salvaged by the WFD.

🚨 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 🚨 This evening, at 5:46 PM, @Wareham_Fire responded to a chimney fire. Units worked for approximately 1 hour at the scene and no damages to the home. This was just one of the multiple incidents that Wareham and @FireOnset responded to today!!!
