The recent and ongoing ugly scenes of migrant families being hounded out of their homes in Glasgow by baying mobs are redolent of what Catholic families endured in the occupied six counties of Ireland in the 1960s and 70s.
Bobby Sands and his family were themselves victims of this kind of pogrom, forced to vacate their home in Rathcoole in 1972.
Working class in name only, these ignorant fucks - white trash -- are putty in the hands of the Rupert Lowes of this world. In other words, they are scabs.
Unfortunately for the master class, there are those of us from the schemes (plantations) who have learned how to read and think.

I lived in Springburn for five years and at no point felt unsafe. We had Kurdish men living below, as kind as can be, not a peep and often taking in my parcels for me. These images of masked up thugs would have made me feel unsafe. I’m glad I don’t live in the area anymore down to this.

Insane that The Police became so huge when their members were:
-A pompous English teacher
-The hyperactive and histrionic son of a founding member of the CIA
-A jazz guitarist a whole decade older than the other two, who has just discovered effects pedals

The Police are extremely underrated by both alt millennials and zoomers because their parents liked them and they are viewed as extremely ‘uncool’ (much of that having to do with Sting’s persona outside of the band not unlike Bono and U2) but they are one of the best bands ever
