Earlier this week we attended the Warwickshire LRF Flood & Adverse Weather Planning Group’s Capabilities Awareness Day Great opportunity to connect with partner agencies, explore response capabilities, and showcase how Warwickshire Search & Rescue supports during adverse events

This weekend our Swift Water Rescue Team trained with Adventure Consultancy on a Rescue 3 course, alongside West Mercia SAR & Bucks SAR. Focusing on weir hazards, teams practised rescuing casualties in, on & around weirs using rafts and rescue sleds on the River Teme in Ludlow.

Friday Night Training This week we trained with Search Ops, covering everything from selecting an RVP and deploying teams, to comms, welfare, and debriefs—bringing the planner’s plan to life. We also had a first look at our new software, Sphere #SearchAndRescue #SAR #Training

Monthly maintenance complete! Our vehicle team carried out full checks, refreshed medical kits, updated IT, cleaned vehicles, boat & base, washed the welfare tent, and serviced fire extinguishers. Great work team — keeping us ready to respond at any moment. #SearchAndRescue

Last week our Dog Team were out training, honing the skills that help us find missing people. These photos show the moment of success — when the dog finds the misper. Celebrating each find is vital, rewarding the dogs and keeping them motivated to perform when it really matters.
