Okay at first i thought people were exaggerating about xQc at first (never heard of him nor watched him) I’ve been out the loop but upon doing further research I think it’s quite valid for people to be iffy about him when he’s known for being controversial and problematic.

(4/5) sure, talk can argue that nogami wanted splatoon to be a safe space, but part of that is to be as welcoming as possible and if we don’t welcome xQc we arnt exactly making splatoon a safe space as we are blocking entry for all others (4/5)

I find it funny when the community is actively not welcoming @xQc for simply PLAYING the video game and content creators are welcoming him I AM aware that xQc has a history, but that history doesn’t reflect his audience to 100% of the degree people are putting it at (1/5)

So uh im convinced uh the casual community uh has some of us the biggest losers on this uh planet. The game you love is getting a popularity spike which is going to do nothing but good things and you wanna turn it away, nobody's making you watch him.

And recently they’ve been backtracking their post after getting pushback on XQC playing Splatoon 3, now saying “it’s not him, it’s the fans.” These people will try to rewrite history and spread misinformation about XQC being a Trump supporter when he’s clearly not. Another blatant attempt in selective gatekeeping on the basis of a lie.
